The Emeryville Police Department is mourning the loss of retired Sergeant Leon Maliszewski. Leon recently passed away at the age of 73. Leon was hired by the Emeryville Police Department in the summer of 1969 after serving in the United States Army. Leon worked a variety of assignments during his 30-year career. We will always remember his contagious smile, wonderful sense of humor and the calmness he brought to the Department. We are thankful for all the memories that we were blessed with because of Lean. Our condolences go out to his family from our family for their loss.

This is an opportunity for the community to have open dialogue with local agencies, bridging the gap between the community and law enforcement. #barbershopforum #emeryville @barbershopforum
