HERCULES POLICE DEPARTMENT SWEARS IN THE 6th POLICE CHIEF William Imboden was sworn in as Hercules Police Department's 6th Police Chief November 8, 2018. Chief Imboden started his police career with the City of Hercules in 1994 as a Patrol officer. In 2007 he went to the St. Helena Police Department as a Sergeant. While at St. Helena he was promoted to Lieutenant in 2013; and Chief in 2015. In September 2018 Chief Imboden was selected, after a nationwide search, to fill the position of retired Chief William Goswick.

The 2018 Hercules Citizens Police Academy came to a end this past Saturday with a tour of the Martinez Detention Facility followed by a "Graduation Ceremony". The Hercules Police Department would like to extend a thank you to all who were involved with making this program a success. From donors, instructors, and volunteers, this program would not be possible without all of you!! Special thanks to all of our Citizens Police Academy alumni who were in attendance this weekend!!

WEAPON AND DRUG DESTRUCTION Today the Hercules Evidence and Property Team conducted a weapons and controlled substance disposal. 120 lbs. of controlled substances and 440 lbs. of guns were destroyed. An excess of 150 handguns, rifles, and assault weapons and gun parts were included in the destruction. All of the items are incinerated and the energy from the combustion is turned into electricity for California.

Week seven of the Hercules Citizens Police Academy was fun and exciting!!! It included SRT/SWAT training with Detectives Tellez and Miller and a field trip to our Dispatch Center.
On 10/30/2018 at approximately 3:09 PM HPD officers were dispatched to a report of an attempted vehicle theft. With the help of a couple of witnesses, A- Colm Briody 04/20/1992 out of Vallejo was identified as the suspect. He was arrested for attempted vehicle theft and other charges. #HerculesPolice #NotInOurCity

****Hercules First Annual Trunk or Treat**** Hercules Parks and Recreation invited us to participate in the first ever Trunk or Treat hosted by the City. *** UPDATE**** DAVID HAS RETURNED HOME SAFE. Voluntarily Missing Person On 10/25/18, at approximately 9:38 a.m., David voluntarily left his residence. He does not drive a vehicle. At approximately 10:50 a.m., his cell phone was pinged to the area of San Pablo Ave. at Hercules Ave. His cell phone is currently off. It is unknown where David might have gone.
