The South Gate Police Department and Ring have partnered together to bring our South Gate residents the Ring Subsidy Program. The #SoGate Police Department and Ring is providing special discounts for South Gate residents for the purchase of selected home security devices for South Gate Residents. During the promotional period, residents will have the opportunity to receive a $100 promotional code discount funded by the City of South Gate and Ring, along with additional discounts provided by Ring. The approved $10,000 of city funding will enable 200 South Gate residents to participate in the program on a first come, first served basis. The promotion period for the program begins August 16, 2018, and will run until the funding limit is reached. To qualify for the special discounted price, the device must be installed within the City of South Gate and residents must provide a utility bill and an acceptable form of identification.
A special Pop Up Store event was held on August 16th, 2018 from 3:00-6:00pm at the Azaela Shopping center, 4635 Firestone Blvd, South Gate. The event had an impressive turnout which utilized approximately half of all of the funding during the special event. Ring continue will provide the discounts to South Gate residents via e-mail on a first come, first served basis. The promotional code e-mailed to residents of South Gate will be redeemable at check out at ring.com. Please note that addresses will be verified to ensure the location is within city limits.

The applications will be checked daily Monday-Friday and codes will be distributed at this time. Codes will be on a first come, first served basis and answered in the order received. We will continue to distribute codes until the subsidy amount is reached
