Tracy PD Teams with Outside Agency Traffic Units to Promote Safe Driving Wednesday, October 24, 2018 will mark the fourth day of the Tracy Police Department’s enhanced traffic and pedestrian safety operation. The first three days of the operation saw in excess of 400 stops made and 300 citations issued by 7 officers assigned to the operation on those days. The primary purpose of the operation is to promote safe driving and reduce traffic collisions throughout the City of Tracy. This Wednesday, October 24th, Tracy PD officers will be joined by Traffic Officers from Lodi, Lathrop, San Joaquin County, Ripon and Manteca to continue the effort. 15 officers instead of 7 will be out between the hours of 6AM and 3PM working various areas within the city limits of Tracy. Everyone can help in making Tracy’s streets safer. Please slow down. Stop at the stop signs. Get off your phones. Pay attention to your surroundings. We appreciate the help in keeping our streets safe for all.
