Press Release Re: Concealed Handgun Permits As of 04-04-2018 the price of Concealed handgun permits will be $63.00 for new permits. Current price to apply for a concealed Handgun Permit is $152.50. By dropping the price to $63.00 I’m hoping it will encourage more law abiding citizens to get their permit. The $63.00 will still cover the cost that the Sheriff’s office will have as far as getting the back ground checks done with CBI, finger print cards and the permit card that is given to the permit holder after approved. All other prices will stay the same as far as renewals, card replacement and late renewals. As you Sheriff I feel the more responsible, law abiding citizens that has their permit and carrying a concealed handgun the safer we all will be. For more information please give me a call at 719-346-8934. Thank You, Tom Ridnour Kit Carson County Sheriff
