We are gearing up for another round of turkey vulture hazing. We will be hazing the vultures to encourage them to roost in less populated areas. Police and Community Service Officers will be using bird whistlers and shell crackers to accomplish the relocation around dusk hours. It is important to note that the vultures are not being killed or harmed. Call dispatch 824-8111 if you see vultures roosting in town so we can respond to relocate them.

Today our Moffat County Students go back to school!! As a reminder, be aware of kids running for that bus, slow down for those now active school zones, watch out for kids walking to school and the STOPPED SCHOOL BUS SIGN. Colorado Law - You must stop your vehicle at least 20 feet before reaching a school bus that is stopped with its red lights flashing whether it is on your side of the road, the opposite side of the road, or at an intersection you are approaching. You must remain stopped until the flashing red lights are no longer operating. Watch carefully for children near the school bus and children crossing the roadway before proceeding. You are not required to stop if the bus is traveling toward you on a roadway that is separated by a median or other physical barrier. Help keep out kids safe by responsible driving on your part!!
