SHARE EMERGENCY INFORMATION If you are a caregiver and feel that information about your child, parent or loved one may benefit the response of emergency personnel (police, fire or ambulance), you can simply call the Simsbury Police Department Records Division at (860) 658-3125 and ask the Records personnel to “add emergency information to your address”. Beneficial information may be a person's lack of mobility or verbal communication, violent behavior as a result of a medical condition or mental health diagnosis, dependency on medical equipment (oxygen) or other diagnoses (dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism, etc.). You can give the Records personnel any information you wish that may optimize an emergency or non-emergency response. The information will be stored in our secure records management/computer aided dispatch software. For questions or concerns about this service, please call Officer Lauren Devin at (860) 658-3131.

Please lock your cars! Two cars were stolen from town this last week. Both cars were left unlocked and keys or key fobs were in the cars. The cars were stolen from residences on Whynwood Road and Drumlin Road. The region and most of the state is still experiencing a major increase in car thefts. The Department has taken measures to apprehend and prevent these thefts, but we need your help. Over the last 3 years (at least) no cars have been stolen from Simsbury without a key or key fob left in the vehicle. Please lock your cars. Two cars were broken into Friday morning, but nothing was taken. The windows were smashed to gain access. This occurred in the parking lot at Route 10 and Route 315 between 7:10 am and 7:50 am, Friday 9/14/2018. There was nothing of value visible from the outside, but as a general rule, don’t leave valuables in your car. If you have any information about these crimes, please call the Simsbury Police at (860) 658-3100 or the Crime Tip Line at (860) 658-3143.
