Congratulations to one of our own! Officer Karen Moorehead completed the Boston Marathon yesterday despite the weather being less than cooperative. We are very proud of Officer Moorehead's commitment and effort.

We are ready to see these amazing children as DARE graduates!

Thank you, Girl Scout Brownie Troop # 63327 for dropping off all of these beautiful cards showing your love and support for Officer Robin Salvatore. Officer Salvatore has been very thankful for all of the love and support that she has received from the people in the Town of Montville. Many have said that they are also planning on showing her support at tonight’s 7:00 pm Town Council Meeting. We always appreciate you ‘backing the blue’. Thank you!

Thank you to Norwich Police Department for organizing the transportation.

We would like to say thank you to these officers who are representing the Montville Police Department at the funeral for Trooper Kevin Miller #1015

The generous people of the Town Of Montville have stopped by and shared donations for the Miller family as well as words of condolences to us regarding Trooper Miller and we are very thankful. We would like you to know that any donations delivered here will make it to his family. We also want to remind you that this is the only approved go fund me page and to not trust someone who is calling you and requesting money or credit card information. https://www.gofundme.com/tfc-kevin-miller-1015?ssid=1231341934&pos=1 Thank you

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Connecticut State Police and the family and friends of Trooper First Class Kevin Miller.

Officer Moorehead came back to the police station today beaming from ear to ear after spending the afternoon with her DARE kids from Oakdale Elementary School. The kids heard that Officer Moorehead was running the Boston Marathon for a charity and decided to see if their class could raise $75.00 for her. Today, she was presented with the $289.00 that these kids raised for the Martin Richard Foundation. Incredible job kids! We are so proud of you and we know how thankful Officer Moorehead is! https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/teammr8boston2018/karenmoorehead

Montville is without power but we are still here for you! Warming stations are opened at Montville High School. Charging stations are open at Town Hall and in the lobby of our Police Department. It sounds like we may be without power for a little while so don’t forget to get to the store and buy what you need..... we know that’s not milk and bread.... so what is it that you can’t live without when the power is out? For most of us this morning is was HOT coffee! Also, as a gentle reminder, if the lights are out at in intersection, everyone has to stop..... (even if we don’t put a stop sign out to remind you!)

Trees, trees and wires everywhere! Many roads are closed! Please stay home and stay safe if you are able to!
