This past Saturday, Agents with the Delaware Alcohol & Tobacco Enforcement provided a chauffeured limousine for students attending Prom at Cape Henlopen High School as part of our annual Safe Prom Program! Our agency is committed to protecting the health, safety and welfare of people in Delaware through the enforcement of youth access to alcohol laws. The Safe Prom Program is designed to raise awareness of the dangers that underage drinking and impaired driving can have on teens and, to ensure students have a safe, fun experience during one of their most anticipated and memorable high school events. Partial funding for this program was provided by the Delaware Office of Highway Safety and from the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health. #DESafeProm #prevention #awareness Cape Henlopen School District

Last week, we bid farewell to our Deputy Director, Robert Kracyla. Today, he begins his new career as Chief of Seaford Police Department. Even though we will miss him around here, we are extremely proud of his accomplishment! We are grateful for everything he has done at DATE and we know he will lead the Seaford Police Department with our same core values - integrity, fairness, competency and accountability. We wish him the best of luck and we look forward to working together again in the future! ๐Ÿ’™

Yesterday, we attended the annual Career Fair hosted by the Appoquinimink School District (ASD) at Middletown High School. This was a great opportunity for us to engage students and educate them on who we are and what we do. We made a lot of new friends and hope to see them at our Youth Police Academy this summer! ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ญ
