The Panama City Beach Police Department and Crime Stoppers are teaming up to put on an internet safety seminar. Both parents and children are invited and encouraged to attend this event. Prior to the start of the training, parents will be placed in a separate classroom away from the children and given training that will be graphic and raw, focusing on the dangers of the internet, online predators, social media and resources that can be used to monitor their children's internet activity. The children's training will focus on Cyberbullying, sexting, and education on the dangers of the internet. By doing this we hope to start a conversation between parents and children about internet safety and personal responsibility that will carry on past the seminar. There is NO charge for this event!
