Looking to identify subject in photo. Subject fled on foot from traffic stop this morning and later committed a residential burglary. If you can identify subject please let us know. Subject possibly from Osceola County.

This Saturday, October 6th, the Town of Indialantic will host its annual Witch Way 5K race. A1A from Miami Avenue to 6th avenue will be closed from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Use Riverside Drive as a detour. Also, residents of Indialantic who live south of Fifth Avenue should use caution when driving on residential streets. Thank you for your cooperation.

For your awareness, FEMA will be conducting a nationwide test of the Wireless Emergency Alert system, October 3, at 2:18 PM. This is the same system used to send tornado warnings and Amber Alerts directly to your cell phone, but will be tested for the first time on a national basis. It will be followed by a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System, which provides warning messages via radio and television. Indialantic Elementary Kindergarten classes got the opportunity to tour the police department. The children spent the morning with Officer Verderosa learning about public safety and police equipment.

On Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM the Indialantic Police Department will be hosting a community meeting at Indialantic Town Hall. The meeting is open to all citizens and there will be officers to meet and ask questions, along with a presentation on firearms safety and the laws on carrying and using firearms. Today was National Walk to School Day. Sergeant Connor and Corporal Weber walked to school with many children and parents from Indialantic Elementary.

Bridges are closed at this time. If you can not make it eastbound. Will notify when bridges are open again.

This is Chief Casey with the Indialantic Police Department at this time we have accessed areas of Indialantic for damage. We are in the process of making the area safe. We have many downed power lines, trees and other damage. We ask the public to please stay off the roads until the area can be made safe and to help speed up the recovery process by not inhibiting first responders, public works and utilities from making the area safe. Administrative phone lines are not working but 911 is working. Only call 911 for emergencies.

Police non-emergency phone lines are not working at this time, in process of having them transferred so we can answer. 911 still working call for emergencies not questions!!!!

This is Chief Casey with the Indialantic Police Department. A reminder mandatory evacuation begins at 3 PM today for the barrier islands. Please heed the warning and evacuate keeping you and your families safe. The bridges will remain open for evacuation and closed for return once tropical force winds begin and until tropical force winds cease and have been determined safe by DOT. Most likely utilities will be out and water will be turned off for the barrier island, so be prepared. Once the winds reach an unsafe speed emergency service will not be able to assist to include ambulance service. If you have questions you may contact the police departments non-emergency number 321-723-7788 also questions can be answered by calling 211.
