Per F.S.S. 316.2397 (7) Flashing lights are prohibited on vehicles except as a means of indicating a right or left turn, to change lanes, or to indicate that the vehicle is lawfully stopped or disabled upon the highway. 🖼️CODE REFRESH🖼️ It is essential that you maintain your landscaping for more reasons than just beautification of your home or business! Keeping your landscaping freshly maintained not only allows for a great presentation, but it also keeps your home and business safe. ~ Maintaining your trees, removing low hanging branches will provide for the appropriate street lighting with no obstructions (Section 40.9). With regards to businesses in our city, tree canopies shall be trimmed in accordance with the Margate codes in order to allow lighting to reach the parking surface (33.2). Lighting is important, especially when we are trying to prevent and deter crime from happening overnight. 💡Keep it light and bright and make sure to maintain your shrubs and trees so that your businesses and homes, including surveillance cameras, are visible. Be vigilant about maintaining your property and let’s all play our role in keeping #OurMargate beautiful and #safe. #ProtectYourProperty #MPDProud #CodeEnforcement

🔑 Safety is Key - Bike riding is a great way to exercise, get some fresh air and share time as a family, but before you and the kids rush out and start pedaling, consider this: Each year in the US, about half a million kids are seriously injured in bicycle-related accidents, and most of those injuries could have been avoided if a helmet was worn. To protect against brain injury, make sure your kids wear a correctly fitted helmet on every ride. #SafetyIsKey
