On November 3rd around 9:00 AM, Cape Coral Police responded to Hancock Bridge Pkwy and SE 24th Ave in reference to an Animal Complaint call for service. Officer Victor Maduro responded and located the dog. It was very apprehensive and didn’t want to cooperate. Officer Maduro was persistent and knew that if this was a lost dog the owner was most likely desperate to get him back. The officer followed the Labradoodle around and was finally able to get ahold of him where he could secure the dog and get him to a safe place; the back of his patrol vehicle. Officer Maduro gave the dog some water and waited for Lee County Animal Control who took custody of the dog. The owner was located and was indeed looking for the lost dog and VERY happy to get him back.

Cape Coral Police were at Cape Coral Fire Station # 3, 1627 Everest Pkwy, on November 3rd for their open house. We had K9, SWAT, the BearCat, and a meet and greet with Chief David Newlan on hand. A good crowd came out and was a lot of fun showing the kids their Public Safety personnel and resources.

We hope everyone had a great Halloween yesterday. This is Avery and she had an awesome police costume for her Halloween trick or treating. She even was able to put her perp, AKA dad, in cuffs and into the back of this police car. She means business!
