On October 19th, Sheriff Dennis Lemma deputized Casselberry Police Officer Enrique Salickram as part of a multi-agency team that deployed to Calhoun County to continue with #HurricaneMichael relief efforts. Since October 20th, Officer Salickram has worked around the clock tirelessly to help the citizens of Calhoun County by providing security patrolling businesses and neighborhoods to prevent looting, enforcing the curfew, visiting the homes of special needs residents to supply them with much needed gas for their generators so the medical equipment they rely on will not fail them. Officer Salickram is also helping Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office with their calls for service as they have been overwhelmed with calls for help. This officer’s compassion and willingness to serve the community is what the Casselberry Police Department is all about. Attached is a video of the devastation of Hurricane Michael that Officer Salickram captured in Calhoun County. #CasselberryCares

Many of our officers have family members that have been personally affected by this disease. To help get awareness out there our officers have had breast cancer magnets on their vehicles as well as breast cancer pins on their uniforms throughout the month of October.
