#STAUGPD TRIBUTE RUN for our Veterans! Today we had the opportunity to show and express the GRATITUDE and RESPECT we have for our Veterans! St. Augustine Police Officer and former Marine, Sally Procaccini, participated in the St. Augustine Half Marathon this morning. Not only did she participate, she represented our department while in uniform, in honor of our VETERANS on Veteran’s Day. On behalf of Ofc. Procaccini and all of us at the PD...we want to say...THANK YOU for your service! 🇺🇸

UPDATE: Our TEAMWORK paid off...contact has been made with the owner and notified on where to retrieve our furry friend. We just want to say thanks to everyone for sharing. Attention: Female Doggie Found... #STAUGPD just found me in the area of Nesmith Ave and Helen St. Can you let my family know where i am at! Tell them not to worry, I’m not in trouble. Just lost sight of time and sight (hair over my eyes). In the meantime, I will be with dog lover and friend, Ofc. Jen Trotzke. Call the PD at 904-825-1070

Hola, St. Augustine! Our city is so rich with history and beauty it’s so easy to get lost in time. We ask that you review our weekend must-have safety tools first before taking in the sights in the Nation’s Oldest City! Embrace the buddy system - Come together, stay together…leave NO FRIEND behind. Protect your assets - Lock your vehicles, secure your valuables in the trunk including your junk (every man’s junk is another man’s treasure). Drink Smart - Do not leave your drinks unattended, watch your alcohol consumption. And please, Don’t drink and drive…we have ZERO TOLERANCE! Keep your guard up - Walk in well-lit areas, walk confidently and pay attention to your surroundings. Stay connected - Have your cell phone with you and share your location with friends or family. Always let someone know where you are. ...we wish you a crime-free productive Friday! Photo by www.razgallery.com

ALLIGATOR FARM ARREST (Burglary, Criminal Mischief, and VOP) On November 6, 2018 at approximately 6:50 AM, Officers responded to an address on Holly Lane (near the lighthouse) in reference to a male subject, wearing underwear, crawling on the lawn in a concealed manner. When officer's arrived they made contact with the male subject, who was identified as Brandon Keith Hatfield, and observed injuries to his foot. Hatfield was transported to Flagler Hospital for further medical attention. While officer's were in route to the hospital, a call was dispatched to the Alligator Farm (999 Anastasia Blvd) in reference to Criminal Mischief. It was later discovered the two calls were related. According to Alligator Farm staff, they were prompted to review video surveillance when they found a "Croc" style shoe in the crocodile pit and damage to the property. The defendant, w/m Brandon Keith Hatfield, was captured on video entering the Alligator Farm at approximately 7:45 PM on 11/05/2018. Hatfield is seen climbing a structure at the Nile Crocodile enclosure and jumping into a pool occupied by crocodiles. Hatfield was attacked by a crocodile and sustained non-life threatening injuries to his feet and leg. The defendant was apprehended and charged with Burglary, Criminal Mischief, and Violation of Probation (VOP).
