Please, please, please lock your car doors and never leave your keys in your car. Every stolen vehicle report we’ve taken this year could have been avoided by removing the keys and locking the doors. Help us, help you.

SCAM! Sgt. Kirk just received a voicemail from (786) 207-9417 on which they claimed he had an arrest warrant and his address was under investigation. We called the scammers back but they didn’t want to chat. PLEASE REMEMBER no legitimate government entity will call you and ask for your personal information. Don’t give these people anything but a hard time.

CASE CLOSED In September of 2017, our officers responded to the Blue Heron Motel to investigate suspicious circumstances under which a toddler with significant injuries was brought to Halifax hospital. Over the next several weeks, investigators worked tirelessly to determine exactly what happened. Ultimately Amber and Harold Hall were arrested and charged with the brutal and disgusting torture of Amber’s daughter. In June of 2018, Harold Hall was sentenced to 25 years in prison for his involvement in his step-daughters abuse and yesterday, Amber Hall was sentenced to 40 years behind bars. Though we take no pride in highlighting the pain of others, and nothing we can do will make up for the abuse inflicted by these monsters, we are more than proud that these two will be unable to harm their child, or anyone else, for a very long time.
