Cherokee County Sheriff's Office News

Thank you for your assistance in sharing the Wanted Posting for James Mooney. Mooney was taken into custody today. The original posting has been removed.

On behalf of a grateful nation, thank you for your sacrifice to our nation.

We ask today that you remember that while Memorial Day has become a holiday, it is meant to be a day of remembrance, not only of those that we knew that gave the last full measure, but the more than 1.3 million American men and women that have given their lives since our founding so we could continue to live under the ideals laid out by our forefathers, ideals that make us the greatest country in the world. We have all been touched by the loss of a loved one in war, and today we say a prayer and thank you to them, and to those they left behind.

CSO hopes everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend. Don’t drink and drive as there are many other ways to get around our great county.
