A shared Dept. of Justice release: By this time, everyone has heard about the opioid crisis throughout the State of Georgia as well the United States. This crisis is tearing apart families, young and old, knows no race, gender or religious background and we, as first responders, have vowed to fight this head on but we need the public’s help. If you hear or see anything, please contact your local law enforcement agency to report it. You can remain anonymous if you are worried. The Norcross Police Department will look into every lead that we receive. Also, the Justice Department is getting involved and are prosecuting the drug dealers on the Federal level to hold them accountable for selling the drugs that are killing people. Please remember that the dealers don’t care who they sell their poison to as long as they make money off of it. We are the voice for the victims to make sure the drug dealers are brought to justice and to make sure no one else dies because of their actions.(eb/et)
