Ok folks I know that it has not rained in the past six days, but Georgia law requires you to turn on your headlights while driving in the rain. Yes deputies this applies to you! Turning on your headlights does not make you car use any more gas nor cause more wear on the tires. Help prevent accidents. You might miss the Greyhounds tonight or the Dawgs tomorrow. Iā€™m not sure if that team near the varsity in Atlanta plays tomorrow. Go Greyhounds, Go Dawgs!!! Have a safe and happy weekend...Sheriff Reece

Rooster Cogburn Gang - 0 ----- Roaming Calf - 1 This past weekend, The Rooster Cogburn gang attempted to approach the Roaming Calf near R. L. Wheeler Rd. The ops plan called for Rooster and Matthew to herd the calf into a catch pen. Commissioner Weidner and John Wood patiently awaited the arrival at the pen. Hey, it must be easy they do it everyday on Bonanza! Well the calf is still roaming. Rooster and his gang should keep their daytime jobs. There has not been any sightings this week. Well folks we have made it through the storm. Last night deputies were hard at work trying to keep the roads clear and safe for your travel this morning. Deputy Shurley took on a different role when he had to climb this tree to be able to cut it out of the road. We were lucky that it wasn't any worse here. I don't know what ya'll are going to do with all that bread and milk you got, may have to share with neighbors cause I'm pretty sure the stores won't take it back. Everyone be safe and have a great day...Sheriff Reece

šŸ›‘ SCAM ALERT šŸ›‘ We have been made aware of another telephone solicitation that is apparently a scam attempt. This one involves a person purporting to represent the Social Security Administration. The caller requests that you verify your SSN so they can be sure to send the correct card to you. This is definitely a scam, as the SSA does not conduct business this way. Please do not provide the person any information. Please make your older loved ones aware of this scam attempt, as they make very good targets for these thieves... Sheriff Reece
