When accepting the vest donation at the facility, Police Chief Tim McCarthy learned about Dignity Memorial providing free services for the recently deceased veteran. Dignity Memorial Chicago Managing Director David Klein and Orland Funeral Home Manager/Funeral Director Britney Yotter were presented with Orland Park Community Pride Awards at the Monday, November 5th Village Board Meeting. A number of things prevented the veteran’s family from being located and his receiving veterans’ medical help. A former Cook County Sheriff’s police detective eventually found the man’s two sisters living in Iowa and they came to Chicago for their brother’s services.
