The Erlanger Police Department would like to thank Special Olympics for allowing us to present awards to the athletes at this past Saturday bowling event. Sgt. Rice, Sgt. Scroggin, Sgt. Rigsby, Sgt. Atchley, Ofc. Hines, and Ofc. Mathews had a great time presenting medals and hanging out with the athletes. If anyone has pictures from the event, please send them to us to post. Thank you

Southbound I75 @ 184.9 mm is currently closed for a collision. We are in the cleanup phase and should have it reopened within the next 4 hours.

We would like to thank Jessica Schrichte-Davidson for sending in this picture of Sgt. Klare out with Rubble from Paw Patrol.

This year The Erlanger Police Department received approval to create and assign officers to a special task force. The Erlanger Community Anti-Crime Team or ECAT was created to address criminal activity and other problems that are specific to the Erlanger community. In the past some of these matters may have been addressed by other regional task forces partners. Since it's formation ECAT officers have addressed all forms of concerns presented by the community as well as self initiated activity such as "Operation Back to School" which was done to check compliance of registered sex offenders before the beginning of the school year. Within the past 2 weeks ECAT officers, with the assistance of a regional task force, conducted search warrants. While there is not yet a criminal court resolution to these new investigations there have been successful contacts, arrests, and seizures related to the work of these officers and help from the community. We will continue to partner with the community to make Erlanger KY the best it can be.

The Erlanger Police would like to thank the Discover Zone Preschool & Childcare at Florence Christian Church for the wonderful cards and candy they gave our officers. We appreciated the kids working so hard on them for us. Here are a few pictures to say Thank You.

All lanes of Turkeyfoot Road around Woodlyn Hills are shut down due to a traffic collision with a down telephone pole and wires across all lanes. Duke has been notified, but it is uncertain at this time how long the roadway will be closed. ********************************UPDATE**************************************** Thankfully there were no injuries this morning. The vehicle operator is home safely. Duke Energy responded quickly to the scene and we have the roadway open at this time. Thank you for your patience while we cleared this collision!

Thanks to everyone that came out to meet us. It was greatly appreciated.

During the arrest of a wanted suspect he struggled and fled from officers. Since it was close to school dismissal dispatch contacted the schools which is why they were put on lock-down. There was no specific threat to the schools, but precautions were taken for the safety of the students and faculty. More to come about the suspect and charges. Thanks for your help!
