We have recently come to possess a green adult bike. It appears to be in very good condition. It likely came from the Dixfield/Mexico/Rumford area. If you are missing a bike recently please give us a call. We hope you can give us the right description! The owner has been located and the bike returned. Thank you to EVERYONE that shared and helped get the bike back to the rightful owner! Community involvement success story!

We have recovered a small urn from a stream in East Dixfield. It is quite small with no markings. The property owner would like for whoever placed the urn to contact us and retrieve it, so as to be reunited for a proper interring of the urn.

Happy 4th of July to our Facebook friends and family! Enjoy the day!

A reminder to all that starting at 6 am on June 25th the Mexico/Peru Bridge will be closed for 7 days so the railway tracks can be raised for the continued construction of the PFC Buddy W McLain Memorial Bridge.

A little stop into the Dirigo Middle School today. It was great seeing all the kids involved together. No social status, no groups, just kids working and participating together!

On this day of remembrance, when we take time to recall those that have braved strange lands and seas, horrific battles fought with guns, artillery and by hand, we shall not forget what today was set aside for. We must remember the brave soldiers as well as the silent operators that have offered their sacrifice so we may carry on in peace. Happy Motherโ€™s Day to all the moms in Dixfield:)

Who doesn't need a good laugh in their day?

Shared from our friends at the Franklin County Sheriff's Department.

Hello facebook friends! Just a heads up, make sure you're locking your car and residences, we've had a few break ins reported and just want to ensure your safety. Whether it be at night or during the day you can never be too sure. With the warmer weather starting keep your head on a swivel. Make sure you report anything that seems even a little off to you. Our officers at Dixfield PD never take a call lightly or think its silly to come out at any hour of the day or night, and if you're unable to reach us at the office be sure to dial 911. With as proactive as we all are, most times we're out of the office patrolling the town so its not uncommon for us to miss a call at the office. If you dial 911 we get notified immediately. Have fun and be safe with the weekend approaching and don't be afraid to stop us and let us know what you see! ๐Ÿ˜

We send our deepest sympathies to the family of this fine deputy and to the Somerset County Sheriff's Department.

Mythbusters test is far from complete but this video shows the kinds of severe injury you are sure to encounter. Please, buckle up and sit properly.

April 28th 10am-2pm we are participating in the National Drug Take Back Day. If you have unused and/or expired prescriptions or over the counter medications stop by the Dixfield Police Department from 10am to 2 pm. An officer will be there so you can drop your medications off, so they can be properly disposed of. Thank You!! https://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/images/drugs.png

We want to spread the word to as many people as we can. Please help. This is a great way to get a rabies shot for those on limited incomes. ๐Ÿ˜บ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿฉ๐Ÿˆ This is at the Rumford Tractor Supply Store.
