Last Saturday, the City of Flint Police Department had the honor and privilege to be a part of an amazing event. The CONVOY OF HOPE came to Bassett park. The Convoy of Hope event was responsible for the following being given for free to the residents of the City of Flint that were in attendance: 2161 - Guests in attendance 692 - Volunteers 43 - participating churches 2874 - people prayed with 4860 - bags of groceries given away 2060 - bags of fresh produce given away 1376 - pairs of children's shoes given away 416 - free family portraits 6 - volunteer photgraphers on site 219 - free haircuts 761 - healthcare services rendered 363 - National Breast Cancer services offered to women 304 - Veterans services offered and many many more................... Thank you to the Convoy of Hope staff and organization, all of the Church partners, all volunteers and mostly, thank you to the members of our great City of Flint for attending this event, you were truly the Guests of Honor !!!!!!

In the last few days several businesses have had commercial A/C units stolen and damaged in the City of Flint. Three males in a green pickup truck were seen by a witness leaving the scene of one occurrence west bound on Atherton then north bound on Cherokee. It is believed that at least one of the suspects may live in that area.
