National Take Back Day Saturday, October 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This Saturday is National Drug Take Back Day, a national day dedicated to drug abuse prevention. As part of the national event we will provide three convenient and free medication drop-off sites in Brooklyn Center, Crystal, and Robbinsdale. Each site will be located in a pharmacy parking lot and staffed by Sheriff's Deputies who will collect your unwanted medications--no need to get out of your vehicle! Deputies will also hand out free medication disposal pouches for residents who may have additional medications at home that they wish to dispose of properly. Drop-off locations will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be located at: 1. Brooklyn Center CVS - 5801 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Center, MN 55429 2. Crystal Walgreen’s - 6800 Bass Lake Road, Crystal, MN 55428 3. Robbinsdale CVS - 4152 Lakeland Ave N, Robbinsdale, MN 55422 70% of prescription drug abusers say that they obtained their supply of prescription medications from friends and family. Properly disposing of prescription medication, such as opioids, can significantly decrease the likelihood of individuals having access to these highly addictive drugs. We are proud to announce that Captain Husevold has been recognized by the International Association of Police as one of 40 law enforcement professionals under the age of 40 from around the world that demonstrate leadership and exemplify commitment to their profession.
