ATTEMPT TO IDENTIFY: We are looking to identify this silver BMW sedan involved in an incident here in town. The unidentifed vehicle should have damage to the passenger side headlight and front bumper. Vehicle was last seen traveling East on 14th street. We would like to congratulate James Lemmo for his recent promotion to the position of Sergeant. James has been with the department since 2006 and is very involved with training in firearms at the police academy.

The Long Beach Island Health Department is asking for a little help with filling out the survey below. Please take a moment if you are over 18 and click on the below link. Ocean County Conducts an Important Health Survey Long Beach Island, we need your help! Together with Ocean County Health Department, Long Beach Island Health Department, Prosecutor’s Office and other community partners, the DART Prevention Coalition has launched a community assessment survey for Ocean County residents. All responses are confidential and anonymous. The survey includes questions specific to parents/guardians as well as questions pertaining to alcohol, tobacco and marijuana and prescription drugs. The survey is for individuals 18+ and results will be used to help us understand the current landscape around substance use in Ocean County.
