Today, we at the Quay County Sheriff's Office are thinking of the students and faculty of Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas who were devastated by a school shooting this morning. We would like to send our condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their lives this morning. No child should ever have to worry that they won't make it home from school.

Today Undersheriff Garcia got to enjoy some time with the Logan Long Horns. They worked on situational awareness and self defense. Undersheriff Garcia said the students were extremely respectful and eager to learn techniques. The Sheriff’s Office thanks the Logan Schools for the opportunity to work with the students.

The Quay County Sheriff's Office had the pleasure of helping escort the Rawhide Days Cattle Drive and Parade on Saturday morning.This year's Rawhide Days was full of great entertainment, great food, and great people. Thank you to everyone who came out to support this fantastic community event!
