The Tucumcari Police Department and the Quay County Sheriff's office are currently investigating a shooting that occurred at a local motel on west route 66 early this morning. There was one male victim who suffered a non-life threatening injury. Two suspects were identified and are being sought for questioning. This was not an active shooting incident and there is no reason to believe the public is in danger.

Shambry Edwards is 4 years old She was last seen with a pink jacket, pink and brown skirt, and giraffe print shoes. Several law enforcement agencies, fire agencies, and civilian volunteers are engaged in an active search. Please remain vigilant, and report anything to central dispatch. On Tuesday May 8, 2018 and Wednesday May 9, 2018, Tucumcari Police Officers responded to two incidents of criminal damage to property, occurring in the 300 block of south 1st and the 200 block of south 2nd. During both of these incidents, air conditioning units were shot, causing damage to the units. ***UPDATE! Zachary was located by the Tucumcari Police Department on 4/3/2018. UPDATE*** The Tucumcari Police Department is seeking the aid of our community in locating Zachary. Zachary is a minor who left home late in the evening of 3-27-2018, and has not been seen of heard from since. Zachary is approxamatley 5'10", 130-140 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. Zachary usually wears black framed glasses. If you, or someone you know, has any information about the location or status of Zachary, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
