With the July 4th holiday rapidly approaching we would like to remind everyone that fireworks remain illegal in New York State. Sparkling devices are the exception to consumer fireworks. Sparkling devices are ground based or handheld devices that produce a shower of colored sparks and or a colored flame, audible crackling or whistling noise and smoke. Firecrackers, bottle rockets, roman candles and the likes are still illegal in New York State and violators are subject to arrest under the New York State Penal Law. With the warm temperatures predicted the ground may be very dry. Have fun and be respectful of your neighbors. Please be safe and make sure you take every precaution available.
