POLICE ACTIVITY LOG 10/29-11/5/18 Assist Other Police – 2000 block Craley Road – Hartford County Sheriff’s Office of Maryland requested assistance with locating a stolen vehicle out of their jurisdiction. Civil Issue – Edith Drive – Requested police assistance with obtaining property. Advised complainant to send a letter addressing the property be returned. Fraud – Hedgewick Lane – Fraudulent withdraws from the victim’s bank account. Police gave the victim an ID theft packet and changed their bank account. Theft – 500 block Gun Club Road – under investigation Animal Complaint – area of Newcomer Road and Whitetail Road – Skunks (deceased and live) in the area. This was from a night prior and the Game Commission was notified. Assist Ambulance – Haven Drive – Log Cabin Mobile Home Park Assist Other Police – 700 block Poff Road – York Area Regional Police requested LWTPD assistance with contact information. Officer obtained information and past it along to a YARP officer. 911 Hang Up – 2400 block Craley Road – 911 hang up call was to have been made somewhere across from the police station with an open line. The subject walked into the police lobby and requested assistance. Ambulance 42 responded and transported to the hospital. Theft – Bluesky Drive – Complainant reported stolen trail camera and tree stand; no suspects at this time. Assist Person – 5200 block Mount Pisgah Road – Dispatched to assist complainant with picking up a child that was refusing to go home. Custody agreement is in place and juvenile was transported from the scene by an adult. Possession of Marijuana – Old Commons and Adair Road – arrest made Other Assaults Not Aggravated – 1300 block Snyder Corner Road – Domestic related; arrest made Sexual Offense Report – 700 block Furnace Road – under investigation Deaths – Unattended – 100 block Boyd Road Soliciting – Eastern York High School – parking lot – Documents were placed in car doors the night prior at the political debate. No police action required. Assist Other Police – 300 block N. Fourth St., Wrightsville Borough – Assist Hellam Township Police with medical issue. Suspicious Person – Eastern Middle School – Parent appeared to be intoxicated. Officer made contact with parent and they appeared to be over medicated. Alarm - Residential – 2000 block Knightsview Road Domestic Disturbance – 800 block Taylor Road Found Property – Klines Run Park – Person found a knife near play area. Officer took custody of the knife and can be released if claimed. Weapons-Possession-Firearm – area of Nursery Road and Water Street – Dispatched to a report of a man with a firearm driving a vehicle. Vehicle was stopped. Search of person and vehicle did not reveal a firearm. Caller was advised and admitted to not seeing a firearm; just assumed there was one. Case was unfounded. Departmental Services – Med Box – Police Station – The med box in the police lobby was emptied and all the contents was transported to the incinerator. Fraud – Dexter Drive – Reported fraudulent charges on Sprint account. Victim reported that this is the second time that this occurred. Sprint required a police report number. No further police action taken. Harassment – 1500 block Prayer Mission Road – Harassing text messages between juveniles. Juveniles were advised to cease all communication and harassment. Should this continue, charges will be filed. Hazardous Conditions – 4500 block East Prospect Road – Water on the roadway due to heavy rain. Station 38 responded and cleared grates allowing water to recede. Stray Animals – 1100 block Trinity North Road – Caller reported having a lost dog on their property. The dog had tags on the collar. Officer contacted owner and they responded to pick up the dog. DUI/Accident – 5100 block East Prospect Road – arrest made Domestic Disturbance – 900 block Sunrise Lane Domestic Disturbance – 300 block Graham Lane Assist Other Police – 7300 block Haugh Road – LWTPD was requested to assist Hellam Township Police Department in apprehending a disorderly subject. Suspicious Persons – 500 block Bull Run Road – There were to be 2 subjects to the rear of an abandoned house. No further description was given. Officers checked the property and interior of the home with negative results. Fire – 1700 block Winters Road – structure fire Terroristic Threats – Eastern York Middle School – 746 Cool Creek Road – juvenile allegation filed. Narcotics-Use-Marijuana – 2600 block Craley Road – Caller reported someone was smoking marijuana and is to be driving a vehicle with a child. Officers went and spoke with this subject who had no signs of intoxication. Unfounded report. Animal Complaint – Livia Lane – Winter’s Ridge – Caller reported a cat was stuck under their vehicle in the driveway. Officer crawled underneath the vehicle in the pouring down rain and could hear the cat; but could not locate it. Caller was going to take the vehicle to service station in the morning. PFA Service – 1700 block Winters Road – York County Sheriff’s Office faxed an Emergency Protection from Abuse (PFA) Order to the station. Officers responded and made contact with the individual and served the PFA with no issues.

Other neighbor attempted to go around the mower and neighbor jerked mower forward and made contact with the vehicle. Vehicle Driver did not want any police involvement due to ongoing problems with neighbor. Police cleared. Warrant Service – 400 block Pleasant Hill Road – 2 adult females residing at residence had outstanding warrants. Constable was contacted and both females taken into custody without incident. 302 Commitment – 720 Cool Creek Road – Eastern York High School – student transported to York Hospital for a 302 commitment warrant received. Counterfeiting/Using – 100 Abels Road – Canadochly Elementary School – Student attempted to pay lunch account with fake $100 bill. Student got play money at the beach; bill was destroyed. No arrests. Assist Person – 1100 block Keller Road – Verify VIN for Penndot; cleared Found/Recovered Property – River Farms Lane – Found black pellet pistol and drug paraphernalia inside a plastic box near property. Property was collected and destroyed. Welfare Check – 100 block Zeigler Park Road – Zeigler Mobile Home Park – Police contacted by Canadochly Elementary school principal who requested police check on a student who has not been attending school. Officer made contact and parent reported child is now residing with the other parent in another school district. School was advised. Officer was later advised they were able to make contact. Officer responded to residence but no one answered the door. Trespassing – 100 block Abels Road – Canadochly Elementary School – Parent was sent a “No Trespassing Letter” from Eastern York School District. This department received a copy. Officer contacted the parent and advised them of the letter and to stay off school property until such letter is received. Dr. Becker was made aware of the notification. Officer checked the area and did not locate the male. Assist Ambulance – 800 block Old Commons Road Wires/Poles Down – Abels Road and Forge Hill Road – PP&L electrical wires were down across the roadway. PP&L notified and officers provided traffic control until the roadway was cleared. Traffic Offenses – 1000 block Valley View Road – under investigation Accident – Fatality – Mount Pisgah and Bluestone Road Fraud – 100 block Walnut Valley Court – Victim reported fraudulent activity on some of their store accounts. All transactions were stopped in time except for one. Victim was provided with ID Theft Packet to complete and advised them to check their credit reporting agencies for any unusual activity. Civil Issue – 700 block Taylor Road – Landlord/Tenant issue with rent. Advised on how to file civil suit at Judge Fishel’s office. Assist Hellam Township Police – 300 block Maple Street, Wrightsville Borough – Hellam Township Officers were on a DUI crash and got dispatched to people slashing tires. Hellam Officers requested LWTPD assistance. Officers arrived and gathered information and passed it along to Hellam officers to investigate. Welfare Check – 2000 block Craley Road – Requested to make contact with a person who recently came home from the hospital. Officers made contact and they were fine. Disorderly Conduct – 100 block Calvary Church Road – Anonymous Noise Complaint that people were being too loud. Officers responded to the area and did not observe or hear any noise violations. Contact was made with individuals near a fire pit and were advised of the complaint and to make sure noise levels were down. Assist Ambulance – 5000 block Yorkana Road Accident – Unoccupied Vehicle - 200 block Spring Hollow Road Disorderly Conduct – 1900 block Adair Road – Reports of hearing possible automated weapon fire coming from the area. Officers responded to Windsor Fish and Game and did find several people shooting various rifles. No automatic weapons were found. Main Street, Windsor Borough – Officers were dispatched to assist with a robbery investigation. Alarm – Residential – Chateau Circle – Workers accidentally set off alarm. Offenses Against Family & Children – 4500 block East Prospect Road – Under investigation Harassment by Communication – 2400 block Craley Road – Victim reported receiving harassing text messages. Victim was asked to get proper contact information; but never did. Due to victim refusing to cooperate, this case was closed. Accident – Injuries – 300 block Abels Road Struck Deer – 5700 block Mount Pisgah Road – Dead deer in the roadway. Officer arrived and removed the deer from the roadway and advised County to notify PA Game Commission to remove deer carcass. LOWER WINDSOR TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT Safety Partners to Participate in Teen Seat Belt Enforcement Lower Windsor Township Police Department is announcing seat belt enforcement activities as part of a statewide Teen Seat Belt Enforcement Mobilization, from October 22 through November 3, to complement National Teen Driver Safety Week. The enforcement activities will be conducted 10/23 through 11/3, on the surrounding roadways of Eastern York High School. The enforcement, coupled with educational outreach efforts, aims to increase Teen Seat Belt use and raise awareness of the state’s primary law stating all vehicle occupants under 18 years old must wear a seat belt. Drivers and front-seat passengers over 18 years old who are cited for another traffic violation will receive a second ticket if they’re unbuckled. SUSPICIOUS PERSONS, AUTOS, CIRCUMSTANCES – 1300 block Snyder Corner Road – Computer was ordered but not received by complainant and Fed Ex is claiming it was delivered. WIRES/POLES DOWN – 400 block Bank Hill Road – Wires still on trees that was previously reported to this department on 9/26. Verizon and Comcast were both contacted again to take care of this issue. No further police action taken. 10/3/18: 911 HANG UP – 5109 East Prospect Road – Den’s Service Center POLE/WIRES DOWN – 300 block Abels Road – Caller reported that the previous day (10/2/18) a truck had struck some low hanging wires and took out a power line and cable line. OPEN BURNING – 800 block Poff Road – Dispatched to noxious smoke in the area; officer discovered person burning trash in a burn barrel in the rear of the property. Officer advised property owner of the Township Ordinance and observed the fire smoldering and did not require any additional personnel to extinguish. No citation filed. DUI ARREST – Hakes Hollow Road SUSPICIOUS PERSONS/AUTO/CIRCUMSTANCES – Lisa Circle – Yorkana Mobile Home Park – Two suspicious people (black male and black female) were sitting in a van taking photos of a house on Lisa Circle. PRESS RELEASE - 9/24/18 at 10:00 am On 9/23/18 at 12:40 am, Lower Windsor Township Police was dispatched to a Domestic related double shooting at 1790 Winters Road, Windsor, PA 17366, with 1 male and 1 female victim. Officers from this department, Hellam Township Police and York Area Regional Police responded to the scene. It was discovered that the female victim, Kimberly Forney, had an alleged gun shot wound in her lower leg. The male victim, Matthew Forney, had what appeared to be a gun shot wound in the upper chest area. Both victims were transported to York Hospital for treatment. Their conditions are unknown at this time. Two other occupants at the residence were on scene and questioned at the police department. During the investigation, it was discovered that all four were involved in a domestic related argument. Robert Hedrick was charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Assault for allegedly discharging a firearm. He was released on $25,000 bail this morning. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled. Investigation is continuing.
