Celina Police Department News

Blue Santa update; All families for this year’s Blue Santa program have been adopted. Thank you Celina for your big Hearts. We still would like to let generous citizens or companies be able to give. These families on the list may not get every need or want. If you still would like to help, the Celina Police Department will be accepting gift cards that we will distribute out to families that need it the most. If you would like to donate gift cards to these families, please contact Officer Chase Guidera at cguidera@celina-tx.gov or drop off your gift cards in a sealed envelope with ‘BLUE SANTA’ written on the outside. Wal-Mart or Visa Gift Cards works best so that families can go out and buy the items they need.

5 kids left to adopt! Help a Celina child in need this Christmas Season! The Celina Police Department, with the help of Celina ISD, are asking for your help in this year’s Blue Santa Program by adopting children who are less fortunate. Please know that every child on this list lives in Celina and attends a Celina School. Therefore, if you are willing to make a positive difference in a child’s life this Christmas, please email Officer Chase Guidera at cguidera@celina-tx.gov, and let him know which child or family you want to adopt, along with your contact information. You can always adopt more than one child or family. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to participate in this heartfelt program. Some have already been adopted and are indicated. Children who have NOT been adopted are listed as 'NEED'. Every couple of days, we will update this list with who has been adopted. We currently do not have the needs and wants of every child on the list, but we hope to have that information soon. Please make adoptions even though the needs and wants of each child may not currently be known. The current list can be found here: https://www.celina-tx.gov/1273/BLUE-SANTA PLEASE SHARE!!!

Celina National Night Out – Project 365: Domestic Violence Awareness National Night Out (NNO) is an opportunity to increase our community’s strength in crime prevention, police-community partnerships, and neighborhood unity. We know that when the police and the community work together, we can build a safer and stronger community. Project 365 allows us as a community to extend our police-community partnership and our energy throughout the year. Since 2015, the police department and the Celina community have focused on Domestic Violence Awareness. Our goal is to end domestic violence and provide safety for the victims of domestic violence. During NNO October 2, 2018, we request that all neighborhood block parties donate new needed items to our Domestic Violence Service Provider partner – Hope’s Door New Beginning Center. Collection boxes will be available at the block parties and at the police department. By focusing on the issue of domestic violence during NNO, we are beginning the first step in prevention – awareness that domestic violence exists in every community. Let’s work together on our Project 365 to end domestic violence and increase safety for victims! Hope’s Door New Beginning Center Urgent Needs List: https://www.hopesdoorinc.org/donate-items/

Lock – Take - Hide Our community recently experienced several car burglaries. We can best protect our neighborhoods by collectively staying proactive. Please know that all the vehicles that were broken into were unlocked. There was no forced entry into any of the vehicles and Items of value were taken from these vehicles, to include FIREARMS. Please do not leave items of value in your vehicles. However, if you must leave valuables in your vehicle please hide them out of view.
