This 6 foot dragon which was featured in a recent The Times Argus article after it was stolen in Montpelier was recovered tonight by Sgt. Gail Lund Rowell at a residence in Orange County!!

On September 25, 2018, The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in a national initiative called “Operation Clear Track”. This program is sponsored by Operation Lifesaver and the Amtrak Police and brings focus to state and local laws pertinent to rail grade crossing and trespassing violations. We will have deputies posted at different crossings in Orange County who will be issuing verbal warnings, Vermont Civil Violation Complaints, and/or criminal citations for violations, when appropriate. PRESS RELEASE CASE#: 18ORC001898 STATION: ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENT CONTACT#: 802-685-4875 DATE/TIME: September 4, 2018 1739 hours LOCATION: Maple Street, Randolph, VT 05060 VIOLATION: Weapons Offense SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: During the late afternoon of September 4, 2018, Law Enforcement Officers from Orange County Sheriffs, Randolph Police and the Vermont State Police responded to Maple St in the Village of Randolph VT for a report of shots fired. This was a family issue that turned into a domestic situation. A search warrant was applied for and granted. There was a single round fired from a handgun and that round was found inside a wall. We removed several firearms for safe keeping until the investigation is completed. This was an isolated incident and there is not a threat to the public. As stated this incident is still under investigation and no injuries were reported.
