Safety and Halloween Costumes

THIS was the costume that was being worn by the person in Classroom I today. Friendly advice from UCFPD: Do NOT incorporate simulated or ACTUAL ammunition/weapons into your costumes. It scares others & puts safety at risk. Remember, if you see suspicious activity, call 911 immediately.

UPDATE: UCFPD responded to Classroom I about a suspicious person. Upon contact, we found that the person was wearing a Halloween costume that included real ammunition. He was detained & is being interviewed. There is no threat to campus safety. Campus operations are normal. UPDATE: Your safety is our #1 priority. When you see something and say something, we DO something. We’ll share more information as we have it. UCFPD is responding to Classroom I in reference to a call about a suspicious person. There is extra police presence in the area. If you see something, say something. Call 911 immediately.

No call is too small. If you see something suspicous, say something to local law enforcement. You can reach UCF Police anytime by calling our non-emergency number at 407-823-5555 or dialing 911 in an emergency.

We can't wait to see the awesome work you all do at UCF! Four current UCFPD members also were recognized at the ceremony for rising through the ranks. Congratulations to Major Christine Gigicos, Commander Scott Freeman, Sergeant Amelia Bray, and Corporal Matt Scott. Keep up the great work!
