Tonight our Kissimmee Police Department family is showing our support for the Central Florida COPS Bluelight Gala which raises funds to help support the families of those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives while serving our community. Families like those of Officer Matthew Baxter and Sgt. Sam Howard. We will never forget you.

We are there when they host it on Tuesdays working to put smiles on faces and maybe learn a thing or two about this new “math” these kids are learning all about. Never knew math would have you counting so many dots! If you’d like to attend, Central Avenue Students and their families can RSVP at school for a free meal and homework tutoring on Tuesdays! Buckle up, even when biking! That’s the message these officers were able to send to young people in our community regarding helmet safety why biking. We hope, by teaming up with Amscot and participating in the free helmet giveaway we can reduce the amount of people injured while biking. Stay safe this Sunday and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Everyone deserves to feel special on their Birthday, right? Well when our officers found out that our four year old friend, Estaban, was alone on his birthday, they showed up- lights blazing. Hope we made you feel part of our special team little man! Happy Birthday 🎉🎂🎉

UPDATE: All roads have reopened. We are currently working an unattended package call in the 1900 block of N. John Young Pkwy. All NB and SB traffic on John Young between Columbia Ave. and Vine St. is being diverted. Media staging will be in the Publix parking lot at JYP/Columbia.
