Welcome Back Students and parents. So glad that we have had a safe and fun-filled check-in this week. Just want to give you all a WEATHER ALERT, although not much of a concern at this current time. Here is what WPB-EOC is stating: "Attached is an overview of the latest with the low pressure area currently north of Puerto Rico. Current threat to South Florida is LOW and the National Weather Service will continue to monitor the system over the weekend. IF the system remains on a more westward track through the weekend and into early next week (note shaded area in graphic), any potential impacts for our area would be no earlier than Monday, and possibly Tuesday and/or Wednesday. It's important to note that this scenario is on the fringe of the range of possibilities, however it can't be totally discounted at this time. Bottom line: it's too early and highly uncertain as to any specific South Florida impacts (IF ANY). Just something to keep monitoring. For the next eight (8) weeks, we are in the peak of the hurricane season, so it is important to make sure that all your hurricanes plans are in place." STUDENTS: Make sure that you have made hurricane plans with your family, roommates and friends in the event we have an evacuation. Check with your RA staff if you have any questions on those plans. AS OF RIGHT NOW: Everything is up and running 100%, there are no changes to any plans as scheduled for the next few days. IF THERE ARE ANY CHANGES we will notify you via PBA Alert, Facebook and other means. Thank you, PBA Campus Safety
Students, the time is near! Register your parking decal online at http://go.pba.edu/parking and it will be ready for you when you step foot on campus. There are a few changes to parking this year so review the regulations. See you all here in a couple of weeks!
