Just a reminder, The Dade City Police Department offers the community a Safe Exchange Zone at the Police Department. This allows people to have a secure location to conduct a transaction. The Safe Exchange Zone is located in the parking lot on the south side of the building on Pasco Avenue.

Celebrating Life the "Ray" Way "Celebrating Life the 'Ray' Way", a Memorial for Retired Chief Raymond "Ray" E. Velboom will be held on Thursday November 15, 2018 at the National Guard Armory, 38017 Live Oak Avenue, Dade City, Florida 33523. The Memorial Service will begin at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be served immediately after the service. During dinner, there will be a podium and microphone set up for anyone who wishes to share their memories and stories of Ray. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Dade City Police Foundation, 38030 Meridian Avenue, Dade City 33525 or online at For hotel accommodations, a block of rooms has been reserved at the Hampton Inn in Dade City, 13215 US 301.
