NOTICE OF FILMING September 2018 Dear Residents and Business Owners, Twentieth Century Fox Television will be filming in your neighborhood Friday, September 21st. We've requested the following closures from the City of Stone Mountain: • FULL CLOSURE: Main St. between James B. Rivers Memorial Dr. and Manor Dr. • FULL CLOSURE: West Mountain St. between Ridge Ave. and 2nd St. • Both closures will be in effect from 9:00am to 4:00pm Friday, September 21st. Side streets within our closures will be blocked at their respective Main St. intersections. Twentieth Century Fox Television is sensitive to the impact that filming can have on a community. Stone Mountain police officers will be on site during this time to ensure the successful flow of traffic through the area. September, 2018 UPDATED FILMING NOTIFICATION Dear Building Owners, Merchants, and Residents, Orange Cone Productions with the support of the City of Stone Mountain is preparing to film the episodic TV series "Dolly Parton Theater" in your neighborhood. To ensure safety, and park the necessary vehicles and equipment for our work, the filming requires temporary lane, street, and sidewalk closures to vehicles and pedestrians on the following streets: Dates and Times: Thursday, 9/13/2018 (During non peak traffic hours) 9A- 4P & 6P - lOP FULL CLOSURE: E/W MOUNTAIN ST: FROM 2ND ST TO RIDGE AVE (730 FT) FULL CLOSURE: MAIN ST: FROM JAMES B. RIVERS MEMORIAL DR TO MIMOSA DR (2,015 FT) FULL CLOSURE MANOR DR: FROM 2ND ST TO MAIN ST (200 FT) We will have the assistance of off-duty COSM Officers to ensure the proper flow of traffic while our work is in progress. During our filming day, we will be implementing ITC (Intermittent Traffic Control) around a few intersections listed above. This will occasionally hold both vehicle and pedestrian traffic for a few minutes during off peak ho urs . Please note that if a sidewalk is closed for safety, the sidewalk on the opposite side of the street will remain open for pedestrians. If you reside in these areas you will be able to access your property or place of employment, but may experience a small delay. Please call with any questions you may have. THE END OF AN ERA... We somberly announce the passing of former Chief James B. Rivers earlier today. He was an icon in the history of Stone Mountain Village, a well respected elder in our community, and one of the hardest working men who ever lived. He will be very sorely missed. Chief Rivers was 77 years old.
