Greetings Facebook friends! As we all know this is an election year. Chief Chavis has been asked by a few individuals regarding the placement of political signs. The law on this topic falls under O.C.G.A. 32-6-51. Basically the sign, under Ga. Code must not be with in the right of way of that roadway. If a citizen wishes for a sign to be placed at their residence the sign must be on their property. It has been also asked, What if someone tampers, removes, or defaces the sign, what action can be taken? This is also a violation of Ga. law under Criminal Trespass, since the sign is under $500.00. The Chief is asking that all persons adhere to the law. Please remember, if you are caught, your actions are a reflection on the candidate you are supporting. The Adrian Police Department would wish all the candidates the best of luck. Thank You, Chief C.L. (Chris) Chavis

The Adrian Police Department is asking for your help in raising money for new equipment. This fundraiser will help in buying new bullet proof vest for the officers. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, I will have some with me in Dublin or you can contact Chief Chris Chavis. However, if you would like to make a monetary donation instead, we will gladly accept that as well. We want to make sure that Chris Chavis and Jose Vema Soto have the most updated gear for their protection. We would like the thank you in advance for your continued support for this agency.

.....ATTENTION. ... Recently the city of Adrian GA has seen an increase in theft and burglary. Chief Chavis urges all citizens, if they notice any suspicious person or persons in your neighborhood please contact the Adrian Police Department immediately! It would also be helpful to law enforcement to write down a detailed description of the person and vehicle. Also, include if you can, the tag number. Chief Chavis would like to thank everyone for their assistance in this matter. Together we can make a difference in our community. Thank you again!
