This morning, SFC VanLandingham and TFC2 Cooley from Post 12-Thomasville participated in the Thomasville Children Safety Day. The event was held at the Thomasville Community Resource Center. Representatives from the Thomasville Police Department, Thomas County Sheriff’s Office, Thomasville Fire Department and many others, were on hand to educate the children on the importance of safety before the Summer break starts. The Georgia State Patrol was on hand to teach the children the importance of wearing seat belts while traveling. Everyone had a great time. #gsp #gatrooper

Troopers attended the graduation of Chase LeCroy last night. CPL Chad LeCroy was killed in the line of duty in 2010. The LeCroys are family and we are proud to support Chase on such a big night. Congratulations Chase from the entire Department. #gsp #gatrooper

Never Forgotten - Trooper Frederick H. Looney, #488 EOW - May 25, 1962 Trooper Looney was killed in a patrol car crash on State Route 306, west of Cumming, GA. Trooper Looney graduated from the 22nd Trooper School in 1961.
