Good Afternoon. We wanted to take a second and post about a recent bear sighting near the Crabapple area of Milton. We want to remind everyone that bear sightings are common this time of year. During the Fall, bears are consuming massive amounts of calories to prepare for Winter hibernation. Bears are attracted to densely populated areas due to easy access to food sources. Some of their favorites are bird feeders, trash, and pet food that is stored outside. Please remember to never approach or attempt to feed the bear. As we stated earlier, they are just looking for food so best practice is give them a wide berth and allow them to move on. However, if you feel the need to have us respond, do not hesitate to give us a call. We have uploaded a video from the DNR to better help understand. Also, we have included a link to the GA DNR website for more information. Have a great day, Milton!

Help MPD continue to keep Milton one of the safest cities in Georgia by letting us know the identity of this suspect.

Registration is open for the annual Milton First Responders Foundation golf tournament. See the information below for registration and sponsorship.

Several months ago, we hosted a Cyclists/Motorists stakeholder group. Working together, the group sought to improve education opportunities and to help ensure the safety of both cyclists and motorists sharing #MiltonGa roads. Not only did they dedicate their personal time on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, but they also helped contribute to the development of a new "Cycling in Milton" webpage on the City's website. In addition to resources on Georgia laws, there's also information on regular rides occurring in Milton. The page is still evolving, but it's a great start--all thanks to Milton residents who cared enough to get involved. Check it out here>

***UPDATE: THE DOG WAS SAFELY RETURNED TO IT"S OWNER*** Please contact with any specific info about this happy, soggy dog’s family !! The dog was located near Highway 9 and Bethany Bend during this afternoons downpour !!
