Here are just a few pictures from tonight’s Trunk or Treat. We are so happy to have had such a great turnout. Thanks again to everyone who participated with us and all the support we received from our friends and family who helped us make this possible!!

Trunk or Treat 2018 was a huge success. We would like to thank everyone who came out and brought their kids to this event! We enjoyed every minute of tonight. We would also like to thank everyone who helped make this event possible!!

We are having a great time this year.... lots of great costumes and trunks!!!

Halloween is here at the Polk County Police Department!!! This morning a couple of our Detectives kicked the morning off showing their Halloween Spirit with these costumes.

The Polk County Police Department would like to provide our citizens with some helpful information. Below you will find a document that you can print and fill out with all your property's important information. This form can be very beneficial in the event of a theft, or other event where you will need to provide serial numbers, descriptions, etc. Once you complete this form be sure to store it in a safe space where it can be accessed when needed. Remember you are our first line of information and this document could provide the key to locating and recovering lost or stolen property.

We would like to extend a thank you to the American Legion Riders for escorting us this morning to the wreath laying ceremony. We would also like to extend a thank you to everyone who has come to donate blood for the blood drive. The blood drive will continue to 3pm.

The Polk County Police Department is requesting your assistance in locating the below pictured Missing Person. Mr. Casey Scuvotti left the area of Cason Road 48+ hours ago and has not been seen or heard from at the time of this post. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Mr. Scuvotti please contact Polk County 911. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Members of the Polk Co PD and Cedartown PD, GBI and State Representative Trey Kelley joined to support the Floyd Co Cops for Kids softball tournament which raises money for the Special Olympics of Floyd Co. This was the 20+ year of this tournament. We came up a little short this year taking 2nd place. Congratulations to Rome Fire!

This cell phone was found in the Portland road area in Aragon. It is at the Police Department if you would like to claim it.

On this tragic day in history we will never forget, we pay remembrance to the ones who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of these men and women.

!!!!!! PAVING SCAM !!!!!!!!! All citizens please be aware that the paving scammers are back in Cedartown. They were on Persons road in Cedartown this weekend and the owner was arrested for outstanding warrants out of Tennessee. Please do not fall for this scam. Tell them you are calling the police.

Please do not attempt to approcah anyone. If you can obtain a tag number safely then it would help. The Polk County Police Criminal Investigation Division is requesting your assistance in gathering information on the vehicle in the photos below. On July 9, 2018 at approximately 5:30AM officers responded to a report of a gun shot injury. The vehicle pictured below is believed to be the suspect vehicle, this vehicle may possibly travel in the area of Hwy 27 South into the City of Cedartown. Any information on this vehicle and or the driver of the vehicle will be greatly appreciated. Information can be submitted to 911 or by contacting Detective B. Polk County Police Officer Kevin Robinson was able to help save a young mans life this morning by using Narcan. The nasal spray which was invented for opiod overdoses was issued to officer's last year along with training. Officer Robinson was within a mile of the call and got there in time to use the life saving spray. Great job Officer Robinson and may God Bless this young man and his family.
