Number: ACSO 18-003766 UPDATED RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Type: Fatality – Farm Accident Incident Date: 10/30/2018 Incident Time: 9:23 P.M. Incident Location: Allamakee County – Farm Field, Bee Hill Dr. On October 30, 2018 at 9:23 P.M., the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a farm accident that had occurred in a farm field in northern Allamakee County near the town of Bee, Minnesota, located northwest of Dorchester, Iowa. Houston County Minnesota Sheriff’s Dispatch reported that they had received a 911 call reporting that an individual had been run over by a combine. Gerald Oren Myhre (age 64) of Caledonia, Minnesota was run over when a combine backed up to unload corn into a wagon. Myhre was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. The incident remains under investigation by the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office. Assisting at the scene was the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Spring Grove Fire Department, Spring Grove Ambulance Service, Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office, Gunderson Air Ambulance and Veterans Memorial Hospital Ambulance. Sheriff Clark Mellick at 563.568.4521 Release Number: 2018-0003389 . 1 Waukon, Iowa, - Waukon, Iowa, - On October 3, 2018 at approximately 10:35 PM, a multi-agency narcotics investigation was conducted by law enforcement agencies of the North East Iowa Drug Task Force. During the investigation, a Waukon Police Officer attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Mason Edwin Lee Frick (age 20) of Waukon, Iowa. Frick attempted to elude law enforcement traveling at a high rate of speed beginning in Waukon traveling through Luana and ending in Postville by law enforcement intervention. Frick was taken into custody and transported to the Allamakee County Jail. Mason Frick has been charged with 1 count of Controlled Substance Violation – C Felony, 1 count of Eluding – D Felony, 1 count of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Serious Misdemeanor and 1 count of Driving While License Revoked – Serious Misdemeanor. Frick will also be charged with numerous traffic offenses. Frick is currently being held in the Allamakee County Jail awaiting arraignment. Law enforcement agencies involved in this incident was the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office, Waukon Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Monona Police Department and Postville Police Department. PUBLIC INFORMATION RELEASE On 9/19/2018, the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an individual attempting to solicit nude photographs of young females in the area through the social media “Snap Chat”. The suspect initiates contact through the messaging feature on “Snap Chat” app and gives a false name that the potential victim may know through social media, such as Facebook, Instagram or Snap Chat and requests the potential victim to send nude photographs of themselves through the “Snap Chat” app. This suspect has attempted contact with numerous potential victims in the area. The “Snap Chat” account being used is dylan3404dj and using the names Chris or Dylan. This activity is being directed toward high school aged persons. This incident is under investigation by the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office and Waukon Police Department. The Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind people to keep your private information OFF social media and know who you are communicating with at all times when using social media. Do not accept friend requests or open information from someone you do not know. Parents are encouraged to discuss the dangers of putting private information or personal photos on social media sites. Incident Location: Allamakee County – State Highway 76 Dorchester, Iowa – The Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a one vehicle accident on State Highway 76 approximately one mile north of Grandview Road. A 2000 Ford F150 driven by Sandra Kay Goeke (age 55) of Waukon, Iowa was traveling northbound and entered the ditch. The vehicle struck a tree. Goeke and three adult male passengers were transported by ambulance to Veterans Memorial Hospital for medical attention. Assisting at the scene was the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, Waukon Fire Department and Veterans Memorial Hospital Ambulance Service. The Waukon Family Aquatic Center and Veterans Memorial Hospital participated in a Mock Accident training at the Waukon Pool. This was only a training exercise for life guards.

An adult male Stephen Michael Smith (age 65) of Postville, Iowa had been cutting a tree down at a residence and the tree fell on the individual. The individual was pinned under the tree. The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the incident. The incident remains under investigation by the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office. An adult male Ryan Robert Schulte (age 38) of Waukon, Iowa had fallen from the bridge and died as a result of the injuries sustained in the incident. No foul play is suspected. The incident remains under investigation by the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office. Number: ACSO 17-002123 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Type: INJURY / STORM DAMAGE Incident Date: 7/19/2017 Incident Time: 6:28 p.m. Incident Location: 862 Autumn Road, Waukon, IA At 6:28 p.m. the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a barn that had blown down, trapping an individual under the barn. Dennis Deal (age 67) of Waukon was in the barn doing chores when the barn was blown over by high winds. Deal was pinned beneath the barn. Deal was located by first responders and was extricated from the building. Deal was transported by ambulance to Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon Iowa for treatment of injuries sustained during the incident. Deal’s condition is unknown at this time. Assisting at the scene was the Waukon Fire Department, Veterans Memorial Ambulance Service and Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office. Authority - Allamakee County Sheriff

PRESS RELEASE November 17, 2016 Vernon County Sheriff John B. Spears and Allamakee County Sheriff Clark Mellick jointly release the arrest of Lonnie J. Rockwell, age 44, and Trent R. Rockwell, age 18, both of De Soto, WI. The arrests were made Thursday afternoon, November 10, 2016, in the village of De Soto pursuant to a felony arrest warrant issued by the Iowa District Court for Allamakee County, stemming from an incident reported early Wednesday morning, November 9, in Allamakee County. At 6:37 AM, a farmer on Iowa River Drive, near New Albin, IA contacted the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office to report he may have interrupted a burglary in progress on his property. The farmer reported two males fled in a car pulling a small trailer. The vehicle was last seen traveling north on State Highway 35 in Wisconsin, just east of Lansing, IA. The Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office and a Vernon County deputy located a vehicle and trailer, matching the description given, near De Soto, WI. The suspects were identified and the investigation continued. Late Monday evening, November 14, a stolen all-terrain vehicle was recovered in the town of Wheatland, in Vernon County. The ATV had been reported stolen in July 2016, from a farm building, on Red School Road, rural Waukon, IA. Tuesday afternoon, November 15, a stolen power washer was also recovered in Vernon County that had been reported stolen from Lansing, IA in May 2016. Lonnie and Trent Rockwell appeared in Vernon County Circuit Court and waived extradition to IA and both were transported to the Allamakee County Jail, on November 15. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the Lansing Police Department assisted with the investigation.
