As I was walking through the hallways in school this morning, I saw this poster hanging on the wall. The best part of my job is being able see these kids every day!

On 3-14-16 Dunkerton Police Department picked up a black dog wearing a nylon collar in the area of Jayne Circle and Sal Ave. The dog was taken to the Dunkerton Public Works building and has been fed and watered. If you are missing a dog, please contact Dunkerton City Hall.

On Tuesday March 8, 2016 the Dunkerton Police Department received a report from a resident of a possible scam. The reporting party stated that she received a call from a person representing himself as an agent with the FBI. This person had a strong foreign accent and stated that there was a criminal complaint filed against the reporting party's child. In order to prevent any further charges or investigations, they were instructed to call 646-934-6701 immediately. Chief Adams followed up by calling the number on the reporting party's caller ID which did ring into the Cedar Rapids FBI Field Office. It was confirmed that this is a scam that targets predominately college age students. You are strongly urged to hang up immediately if you receive a call similar to this and NOT to return their phone call. The FBI is aware of this scam and are actively working to shut it down.

Congratulations to all the DON'T graduates!

A reminder to citizens of Dunkerton....We have been receiving complaints of residents raking their leaves onto the city street. A violation of this ordinance may result in a municipal charge filed and a court appearance required to plead not guilty or guilty.
