This coming Sunday we will be dedicating the Rescue Boat that all of you gave donation for, as well as a boat building. We are inviting all of you to come and help us celebrate this fine piece of equipment to assist our Dive team here in Crawford County. There will be a program followed by free lunch. There will be no more donation needed so please don't give any. This day is for us in Law Enforcement, EMS, Fire to tell you the citizen of Crawford County and those that donated outside Crawford a big, Thank you to each and everyone of you. The time will be 12:30 pm. Today we poured the floor for the rescue boat building. A big thanks to Brian Smith the owner of "Smith Concrete Compamy" and his all his employee's,, Trevor Johnson the owner of "Silverline Moble Concrete Compamy" and his employee's , Adam Heiden owner of "Heiden Concrete Company"and his employee's and Gary Reisz the owner of "Reisz Construction". The construction is underway for the Crawford County Search and Rescue Boat building. I will keep everyone posted as we progress with this project. I have set the date for August 13th for the Dedication of the boat. Today I received a check from Wesco industries in the amount of $10,000.00 from a soup supper fund raiser held on Thursday February 2nd in Denison, Iowa. The Donation to benefit for Crawford County Search and Rescue Dive Team, in regards to getting a boat, motor and sonar to assist our dive team. On March 20th, 2016 a traffic stop was conducted north of Denison, Iowa on Highway 59. During the traffic stop, K9 Bayou was deployed and alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle. As a result of the search, Marijuana, Methamphetamine, and Drug Paraphernalia were located and seized. Stormy Trucke, 22 of Mapleton, Iowa was arrested for Possession of Meth 3rd or Subsequent, Possession of Marijuana 3rd or Subsequent, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond $5,000.00 Chad Gloede 37 of Mapelton, Iowa was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond $300.00 All Subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. PRESS RELEASE On February 10, 2016, the Crawford County Sheriff's Office recieved a call in regards to a residential burglary located at 2616 rural Crawford County,Iowa. The reporting party stated that two shotguns and several power tools were taken. The incident was investigated and information was obtained. As a result of the information that we received, a search warrant was executed by the Crawford County Sheriff's Office with the Denison Police Department assisting. The location of the search warrant was at 201 Chamberlin Drive, lot 11 in Denison, Iowa. As a result of the investigation and the search warrant, both shotguns and power tools were seized and taken into evidence. Two individuals were arrested and charged. Arrested was 22 year old Jose Rafael Rivera-Zarazoga of Denison for Burglary in the 3rd Degree Class D Felony and Theft in the 2nd Degree a Class D Felony. Also arrested was 21 year old Moises Alexander Carrera of Denison for 3rd Degree Burglary a Class D Felony and Theft 2nd a Class D Felony. Also arrested was 26 year old Karen Yamilet Melara of Denison, who happened to be at the residence when the search warrant was executed. Ms Melara had a Crawford County Warrant and found to be in possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor. All subjects are innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law. January 8, 2016 PRESS RELEASE Ongoing Narcotics Investigation by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office *Since January 1st, 2016 the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office has conducted four separate Search Warrants within the County. 12 Arrest have been made for illegal drug crimes that include Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Marijuana, and Prescription Drugs. *On January 2nd, 2016 a Search Warrant was conducted at 1006 13th Ave South in Denison, Iowa. As the result of the execution of the warrant seized for evidence was Methamphetamine, Drug Paraphernalia, and a Firearm. The Following individual 51 year old Raul Casillas-Martinez of Denison was charged with Delivery of a controlled substance Methamphetamine less than 5 grams a (Class C Felony), Possession of a Controlled substance Methamphetamine a (Serious Misdemeanor) and Drug Paraphernalia a (Simple Misdemeanor). *On January 7th, 2016 a traffic stop was conducted by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, as the result of the traffic stop 22 year old Eduardo Daniel Murillo-Manriquez of Storm Lake was charged with Driving While Bared a (Aggravated Misdemeanor), Open Container ( Simple Misdemeanor), Possession of Methamphetamine (Serious Misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia( Simple Misdemeanor). *On January 7th 2016 a Search Warrant was conducted at 516 East Fulton Street Dow City, Iowa. As the result of the search warrant Methamphetamine, Packing Materials, Scales were seized and taken as evidence. The individuals Charged in this case are as follows: Raul Casillas-Martinez, age 51of Denison was charged with Possession with intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine a (Class B Felony) and Drug Paraphernalia a (Simple Misdemeanor). Edgar Giovanny Espinoza, age 22 of Denison for two charges of Possession with intent to deliver a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine a (Class B Felony and also a Class C Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a (Simple Misdemeanor). Ricardo Rosales, age 19 of Denison was charged with Gathering where Controlled Substances are used, a (Class D Felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a (Simple Misdemeanor). Jose Rivera Zaragoza age 21, of Denison was charged with Gathering where Controlled Substances are used a (Class D Felony) and Drug Paraphernalia a (Simple Misdemeanor). *On January 7th, 2016 another search warrant was conducted at 42 Ash Street in Ricketts, Iowa. As a result of this search warrant, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Marijuana, prescription pills, scales, packaging materials, and drug paraphernalia were seized. John Willroth age 51, of Ricketts was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a controlled substance Methamphetamine a (Class C Felony) Possession of Cocaine a (Serious Misdemeanor), Possession of Marijuana a (Serious Misdemeanor), Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance Oxycodone a (Serious Misdemeanor), Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance Tramadol a (Serious Misdemeanor), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a (Simple Misdemeanor). David Farrow age 25, of Charter Oak was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine a (Serious Misdemeanor) and Possession of Marijuana a (Serious Misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a (Simple Misdemeanor). *On January 8th, 2016 a search warrant was conducted at 304 South School Street in Dow City, Iowa. As a result of the search warrant, Methamphetamine, Marijuana, scales, packaging materials, and drug paraphernalia were seized. David Wingrove age 48, of Dow City was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine a (Class B Felony) Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp a (Class D Felony), Possession of Marijuana a (Serious Misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a (Simple Misdemeanor). Amber Nelson age 31, of Denison was charged with Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense a (Serious Misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a (Simple Misdemeanor). Tahara Johnston age 28, of Denison was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a (Simple Misdemeanor). As always, all subjects are innocent until, or unless, proven guilty in a court of law. This is an ongoing investigation and I anticipate that there may be more charges filed in regards to these cases. As the result of the search warrant, items were seized for evidence and several individuals were arrested. The individuals that were arrested and their charges are as follows: Ryan Schultz 47 of Denison, Iowa for possession of a controlled substance Methamphetamine (Serious Misdemeanor) and drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor) Bond $1000.00, Daniel Joseph Welsh 48 of Denison, Iowa for Possession of a controlled substance Methamphetamine (Serious Misdemeanor) and Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor) Bond $1000.00, Amanda Hourani 29 of Denison for Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor) Bond $300.00 and Mark David Beckman 29 of Odebolt, Iowa for Driving While Barred ( Aggravated Misdemeanor) and Furnishing a Controlled Substance to a Jail facility (Class D Felony) Bond $5000.00. Today was Red Ribbon week in the Ar-We-Va School. The Crawford County Sheriff was as to come and do a presentation for the kids. I was assist by Lt. Corey Utech, and Bayou our K9. The kids asked some great questions and assist me in hiding some drugs to see if Bayou could find them and yes she did, the kids really loved Bayou. I hope that our presentation made a difference on these kids and the choices in the their future when it comes to taking illegal drugs. On September 21, 2015 at approximately 7:15 pm, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Charter Oak Police Department, Denison Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, and the Manning Police Department conducted search warrants on two locations in Charter Oak, Iowa. The locations were 107 Walnut Ave. and 862 1st Street. As the result of the search warrants several individuals were arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail in Denison IA on various charges. Those arrested are as follows: Kinsey Jo (Krajicek) Rivera, 29 of Charter Oak for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor), Possession of Marijuana (Serious Misdemeanor), and Possession of Methamphetamine (Serious Misdemeanor). Tomas William Holzer, 33 of Charter Oak for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor), Possession of Marijuana (Serious Misdemeanor), and Possession of Methamphetamine (Serious Misdemeanor). Danielle Rae Terwilleger, 26 of Charter Oak for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor), Possession of Marijuana (Serious Misdemeanor), and Possession of Methamphetamine (Serious Misdemeanor). Marinda Marie Golden, 19 of Charter Oak for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor), Possession of Marijuana (Serious Misdemeanor), and Possession of Methamphetamine (Serious Misdemeanor). Todd Allan Grimsman 29 of Carroll for Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor) and a Sac County Arrest Warrant A traffic stop was conducted a short time later near Charter Oak. As a result of the traffic stop, Cody Blum 24 of Charter Oak was arrested for Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine (Class B Felony), Drug Tax Stamp (Class D Felony), and Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor). Also seized were stolen items from various jurisdictions. I am expecting additional arrest in this case in regards to the stolen property as well as the Drug activity that had been taken place at these residences. During the stop, William Matthew Lee Soll, 35 of Dow City, was arrested for Driving Under Suspension. Soll attempted to throw an item during the traffic stop and when the Deputy recovered it, approximately ½ ounce of methamphetamine was recovered and seized. As a result of the sniff, K9 Bayou alerted to the odor of narcotics. Deputies searched the vehicle and found approximately 9 grams of methamphetamine, packaging materials, and drug paraphernalia. Jordan Dennis Schiltz was formally charged with Possession w/ Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine (Class B Felony), Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp (Class D Felony) , and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor). During the search of the residence, approximately 1 pound of Marijuana was seized as evidence along with a smaller quantity of methamphetamine. On July 25th, 2015 a search was conducted at 2047 U Ave Dow City Iowa by the Crawford County Sheriff's Office. As a result of the investigation a good quantity of Methamphetamine was seized, along with Marijuana, a scale, packaging materials and drug paraphernalia along with approximately $10,400.00 in United States Currency was also seized for forfeiture. As the result of the investigation 35 year old William Matthew Lee Soll of Dow City was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to deliver more than 5 grams of Methamphetamines(Special Class B Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia( Simple Misdemeanor) and Domestic Abuse Assault ( Simple Misdemeanor) Bond was set at the time of his arrest at $100.000.00 Also arrested was Amber Lea Nelson 30 of Denison was charged with Conspiracy to Deliver more than 5 grams of Methamphetamines(Special Class B Felony), Possession of Marijuana 2nd Subsequent Offense ( Aggravated Misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia(Simple Misdemeanor) Bond was set at the time of her arrest at $100.000.00. This case is under investigation and possible that there will be more subjects arrested for their involvement with this case.
