Ed Wickenkamp made the shooting tree with parts donated by John Deere Ottumwa Works, last fall. It came in handy doing transition drills today.

Today we lay down one of the most dedicated Reserve Deputies to ever put on the uniform. Greg was a great friend, fun to work with and all around great guy. Our hearts go out to his family during this time. Rest easy friend!

Yesterday, DaVita Dialysis donated $1,000 to Shopping With the Sheriff (formerly known as Shop With A Cop). Thank you! Yes, you may donate any time during the year.

With another Shop with a Cop season over. We at the Wapello County Sheriff's Reserves would like to thank the Ottumwa Walmart for their hospitality and the Ottumwa Burger King for feeding all of us Deputies and Children. With out all the businesses and individual donations we wouldn't be able to do this. Thank you again. Happy Holidays!

Wapello County Jail has an opening for Full-time Female Correctional Officer. Starting pay is $16.79/hr plus excellent benefits. No experience necessary. The Wapello County Jail is excepting applications for full and part time correctional officers. You can pick up an application at the Wapello County Sheriff's Office in the business office located on the second floor.
