Remembering our friend and co-worker, Community Service Officer June Roby. We lost June to cancer on this date in 2011. She was a dedicated NPD employee, youth mentor, Idaho Operation Lifesaver spokeswoman, CSO and she managed our juvenile offender program. June always had a kind word and contagious smile to share. Our thoughts go out to June’s family. She is missed. #NPDCSO #NPDRoby #BlueFamily #BigHeart #SMILE #SheDid

Nampa Police are investigating a stabbing and a shooting in a residence. On October 31, 2018, at 3:47 a.m., Nampa Police officers were sent to the 1700 block of 1st Street North for a disturbance. It was reported that someone had been stabbed and a shot was fired during an argument in a residence. Upon arrival, Nampa Police officers found that there were two females, ages 26 and 22, and a male, age 26, in the residence. The male, identified as Seth Anderson, a Nampa resident, had recently moved into the residence with the two females. It was reported that Anderson came home intoxicated and an argument ensued. Anderson came out of his room with a firearm and threatened the females. There was a fight over the gun and during the struggle, the firearm discharged one time and the shot went into the floor of the home. One of the females obtained a knife and stabbed Anderson in the back and then Anderson produced a knife and slashed at the other female with a knife. She received a minor injury and was not initially transported for medical treatment. She later sought medical attention for her wound. When officers arrived at the residence, Anderson was placed into custody and was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for the stab wound. The stabbing does not appear to be life-threatening. Anderson has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of aggravated battery. He will be taken to the Canyon County Jail and booked in for those charges. This incident is still under investigation by Nampa Police detectives.
