Just wanted to give our drivers license a "shout out". They normally close at 5:00, but with a lobby full of customers- Mary stayed late to get people taken care of. Thank you!

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office is accepting resumes for the position of Full time Emergency Communications Officer. This position will be required to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends and holidays. This position is a quick thinking job, dealing with the public, includes answering 911 and administration lines, dispatching for police, fire and ambulance. Requirements are a high school diploma or a GED, at least 18 years of age, a United States Citizen, no felony convictions or conviction of an offense that would be a felony if committed in Idaho. Must be able to type 30 words per minute, a typing test must be completed at Job Service. Wages for this position is $16.40 to $19.15 an hour depending on experience. Scam alert! We have received several reports of people being contacted via the sheriffs office on warrants/ payments due. The scammers are using a deputies name and ask that the person go to (Walmart) for transferable funds. Please do not provide any information to these individuals. If the Sheriffs office needs to contact you, we will do so in an official capacity. .....Please help to spread the word...

Update: Drivers license will not be open on 8/30/2018. We hope to have things back up and running on Friday.

Please like and share this message to help get the word out. Idaho Transportation Department -Boise office has recently performed a system update. With this recent update there have been some unforeseen problems arise. Unfortunately this means that the entire drivers license system is down across the state. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

For your Information: Sorry for any inconvenience. Drivers license will be closed this week on Thursday and Friday, August 9th and 10th. The State is performing an update to the current system. They are planning on being back up and running on Monday Aug 13th.

We will continue to update everyone as information becomes available. Thanks to everyone that helps share/spread information.

Please stay away from the schools (the schools are being used as staging areas for fire personnel ) there is going to be additional people and equipment coming in today to help fight the fire on the desert.

UPDATE: We have been informed that the Red Road is now closed from the St. Anthony Resort to Kilgore due to the active fire on the desert. we will update as soon as information is made available.

We would like to take a minute and say, "Thank You" for all of the community support with our fund raisers for the Youth Camp. The Vendors for donating the food items, drinks, and of course Broulims St. Anthony for putting this whole thing together!!! We were able to raise $870.00 to put towards the program for the Youth in Fremont County. Thank You!!
