Yesterday, there was a collision between a semi and a large tree on Deakin Street on the University of Idaho. While no one was hurt, the roadway was closed for a short time in order to clear out the damaged tree and Semi. Several living groups in the immediate area were instrumental and should be recognized for chipping in and helping Moscow PD out to get the road open faster. We thank everyone who participated in helping out! Your efforts were greatly appreciated! Moscow Police Department

You can contact the police department at (208) 882-2677. Ask to speak to the watch commander. Can I get more details on the event you witnessed? I may be able to help with this situation, if you would like.

If you've got questions-- Moscow Chief of Police James Fry has answers. That's why he has teamed up with the Latah Recovery Center for Coffee with a Cop on November 15th at 7am AND 7pm-to answer your questions about the Moscow Police Department. This event will be held at the Latah Recovery Center, and ALL community members are invited to attend. "We hope that community members will feel comfortable asking questions and bringing concerns, or simply stopping by to get to know us," said Fry. "These interactions are the foundation of community partnerships.” The majority of contacts law enforcement has with the public happen during emergencies or emotional situations. Those situations are not always the most effective times for relationship building with the community. Some community members may feel that officers are unapproachable on the street. Come join us at Coffee with a Cop to relax, break down barriers, and enjoy a hot cup of coffee.

Summer is traditionally the worst time of year for fatal and serious injury crashes on our highways. With summer upon us, the Moscow Police Department along with other Idaho agencies are partnering with the Idaho Department of Transportation and planning the 100 Deadliest Days Summer Driving Mobilizations. Several phases of mobilizations are being scheduled, the first will run from July 21, 2017 through August 4, 2017. Officers will focus on all areas of traffic safety with priorities for speed, distracted driving, impaired driving and occupant safety. The goal of this project is to support the statewide highway safety goal of reducing motor vehicle related deaths and serious injuries. Please buckle up and plan for a sober driver during this summer season.
