MURPHY POST OFFICE UPDATE: Today, November 8, 2018 they are excavating and pulling power lines and possibly a phone line. This whole thing has been painfully slow, but they are making progress and we remain hopeful!

DMV NEWS: Due to the high volume of traffic at the Owyhee County Assessor's Office in Murphy our hours are changing to allow our staff time to process the mail in vehicle registrations and other administrative duties. We will now open 1/2 hour later at 9:00 am. MURPHY location only.

Voter turnout for yesterdays election was 66.3%. Good job Owyhee County Citizens! It is interesting to note that the mail out ballot precincts had the highest participation with Pleasant Valley residents hitting a home run with more than 90% voting.

ELECTION UPDATE: Tomorrow, Friday November 2nd is the last day to in person absentee vote. You must come to the Owyhee County Courthouse in Murphy. If you are not registered to vote, you must go your polling location on election day. As always, give us a call if you have any questions. We have already processed over 400 absentee ballot requests, so don't forget to get them back to us.

Edit: 4:30 pm - Road is now open. ROAD CLOSURE: Highway 78 Closed at milepost 40 in both directions due to beet truck accident.

EDITED: The official time to fall back is 2:00 a.m. Sunday Saturday the time falls back one hour. Don't forget to change the batteries in your smoke alarms too!

Attention: The Marsing DMV WILL be open tomorrow, October 30, 2018. Also if you are from Canyon County please visit CanyonCo.org. Wait times for both driver’s licenses and DMV are posted. Thank you!

MARSING DMV: For the next two weeks, due to construction, folks will not be able to park at the DMV in Marsing. Alternate parking will be at the dirt lot on the east side of the bank. Otherwise they can come to Murphy or go to Canyon County. Also, On Tuesday October 30th the Marsing DMV will be closed due to asphalt being laid on Reich Street. This is tentative depending on weather. Thank you!
