Thank you to Congressman Davis for inviting Kincaid Police to speak yesterday. Congressman Davis worked very hard on a bill that was passed and signed by President Trump on Oct 5th, 2018. The bill is called the Disaster Declaration Improvement Act. This bill will help rural communities have a better chance in receiving assistance in case of a disaster like our flood in December 2015.

Good story!! This evening, our guide Mickey from the Safe Passage program who is helping the police department tremendously and doing a great job along with one of our board members Denise Evans were able to get a 28 year old male from Bulpitt into treatment. It took several calls and finally the hour house in Charleston, IL accepted him. Mickey and Denise drove this young man to Charleston and their GPS took them to a trailer park in Charleston. The young man asked Denise and Mickey is this the treatment center? Mickey joked and said yes trailer number 8. Well they finally found the treatment center and it looked much better than the trailer park. The man is safe and sound. Then Mickey and Denise were stopped by the police for speeding. Mickey explained what they just did and the officer let them go with a warning. It is nice to see a board member attend a ride along to see what the safe passage program is all about helping others, and thank you again Mickie.

Kincaid Police would like to thank the citizens for information about alleged drug traffic. Kincaid Police on 10-17-2018 arrested Jeremy Cagle, 40 YOA of Kincaid for three outstanding warrants, possession of methamphetamine and resisting a police officer. Kincaid Police also arrested Annyssa Myers, 29 YOA from Virden for Felony Obstruction of Justice and a warrant for a meth charge. Thank you to Edinburg police, Morrisonville police, Christian County Sheriff’s Office and a member of the task force for their quick assistance. ** All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
