Officers Kickert and Pearson had a great time at the Graymoor block party along with Corporal Lopez and Sergeant Blasingame.

During the early morning hours, Officers Baker (pictured left) and Officer Smith (pictured right) received a call of a stranded motorist near the intersection of Joe Orr Rd and Western Avenue. When they arrived, they saw a man passed out in the vehicle. Another person in the car told them he had just injected an illegal drug. Officer Baker immediately took action and administered a life saving dose of Naloxone. The man regained consciousness and was transported to an area hospital by paramedics.

We hope to see all of our Graymoor residents at their block party today!!! Reminder: Graymoor Homeowner's Block Party - Saturday September 8th, 2018 at 1:00pm. A children's bike parade will be leaving from the area of 74 Graymoor.

Here is something you might not know of Olympia Fields Police Department... We train in our firearms every month of the year. We qualify in our handguns and rifles. Every month our professional Range Officer's, Officer Dan Kickert and Officer Riley Mayer work with the officers qualifying and running them through training courses. Each month our training is held at different locations. In the summer season we hold our training outside. During the winter we are training in an indoor range. Some months our Range Officers switch it up and hold "Patrol Tactics and Room Entry", with the assistance of our SWAT Officer, Gabe Alvarado, at our police station and "Virtra Simulator" training held in Homewood, IL. Virtra simulator training is technology software and scenarios that provide intense training for de-escalation, judgemental use of force, marksmanship, and related training that mimics real world situations. Happy Thursday from the Olympia Field Police Officers at the Range!

Happy 4th of July! Stay cool and have a safe Holiday!! 🇺🇸🎶👮🏼‍♂️🎆
